Last year, Corona created a fierce orgy in the country and the world. This year, when the corona cases start falling slowly, a new wave of viruses has started to scare once again. But there are some states where the situation is serious. The daily new cases of corona in Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat are showing a sharp increase. These states account for 80.63% of new corona cases reported in the last 24 hours across the country.
Especially in Maharashtra, the corona havoc is continuously increasing and its worst outbreak is seen in the country’s financial capital Mumbai. On Wednesday, more than 5000 cases were reported in Mumbai. This is the largest figure ever to come one day. Mumbai recorded 5,285 new Corona cases on Wednesday, with 6 people killed here.

So far, for the first time, more than 5 thousand cases have been registered in Mumbai. The Mumbai Municipal Corporation reported 3,152 cases on Tuesday evening, an increase of 8 percent over Monday. There were 3,775 cases here on Sunday. With the latest upsurge – there are now around 30,000 active cases in Mumbai – Mumbai is now ringing alarm bells.
The city has banned the celebration of Holi in public and private places. Officers will also conduct random rapid antigen tests (RATs) of people in public places. Those who violate the order not to celebrate Holi festival or refuse to be tested will be charged under either the Epidemic Diseases Act or the Disease Management Act. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has warned the people of the lockout if they disobey the rules.
