Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United Nations on Monday questioned the US intelligence report that claimed to have approved a campaign to capture or kill journalist Jamal Khashogi by Saudi Arabia’s prince. Abdallah al-Maulimi protested the report, tweeting, ‘We must all move forward to deal with the serious issues of the world.’

He said that the ‘new report of the Central Intelligence Agency’ could, should have been and is based on what would have happened and has not been able to prove the charge except on suspicion. The report claimed that Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince (Crown Prince) Mohammed bin Salman approved a campaign to “capture or kill” journalist Jamal Khashogi in Istanbul.

This report related to the barbaric murder of disgruntled Saudi Arabian journalist has been released by the administration of US President Joe Biden. Report Intelligence officials, however, did not say that Shehzadeh Mohammed bin Salman had ordered Khashogi’s assassination in October 2018, but rather said in a four-page document that Shehzade has complete control over the country’s security and intelligence organizations. It is unlikely that Saudi authorities can carry out a campaign of this nature without the permission of Shehzade.

Al-Maulimi said in a series of tweets, “Shehzade boldly took moral responsibility, brought the accused to justice and resolved to reform intelligence organizations.” Case closed.’

Significantly, Khashogi was murdered on 2 October 2018 at the consulate of Saudi Arabia in the city of Istanbul, Turkey by people belonging to Mohammed bin Salman. He was a lawful permanent resident of the United States and wrote articles in the “Washington Post” newspaper and was bitterly critical of Shehzade’s policies. Khashogi’s body was torn to pieces and his remains were never found. Saudi Arabia ultimately had to admit that Khashogi was killed by mistake and denied Shehzade’s involvement in the assassination.
