All the parties are busy campaigning for the Vidhan Sabha elections to be held in West Bengal and Assam. In this context, today Prime Minister Modi will make his third visit to Bengal within a month. Apart from this, PM will also go to Assam where he will inaugurate many projects. PM will address rally in Bengal. Preparations are going on in full swing in the state regarding his gathering.
PM Modi will inaugurate important projects in the oil and gas sector at an event held at Silapathar in Dhemaji, Assam at 11:30 am on Monday. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of engineering colleges during the event.
Later PM Modi will hold a rally in Hooghly and also inaugurate several railway projects in West Bengal. In Assam, the Prime Minister will deliver the INDMAX unit at Indian Oil’s Bongaigaon Refinery, Secondary Tank Farm of Oil India Limited at Madhuban, Dibrugarh and a gas compressor station at Hebra Village, Makum, Tinsukia. He will also inaugurate Dhemaji Engineering College and lay the foundation stone for Sualucci Engineering College.

The INDMAX unit at Indian Oil’s Bongaigaon Refinery leverages technology indigenously developed by Indian Oil-R&D to produce high LPG and high-octane gasoline yields from heavy feedstocks.
The unit will increase the crude processing capacity of the refinery from 2.35 MMTPA (million metric tons per year) to 2.7 MMTPA. With its commissioning, LPG production will increase from 50 TMT (thousand metric tons) to 257 TMT and motor spirit (petrol) production from 210 TMT to 533 TMT.
In West Bengal, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the extension of the metro railway from Noapada to Dakshineswar, and flag off the first service on this section. This 4.1 km extension has been built at a cost of Rs 464 crore, the entire cost of which has been paid by the central government.
The metro road will reduce traffic and improve urban mobility. This expansion will ease the way for millions of tourists and devotees to two world famous Kali temples in Kalighat and Dakshineswar.
PM Modi will also inaugurate the third line between Kalikunda and Jhargram in the 30 km long section of Kharagpur-Adityapur third line project of South Eastern Railway, which was estimated to cost Rs 1,312 crore.
He will dedicate Azimganj to the nation for doubling of the Kharaghat road section, which is part of the Howrah-Bundel-Azimganj section of the Eastern Railway, at a project cost of around Rs 240 crore.
The general budget of Bihar will be presented in the Legislature on Monday i.e. Monday. Deputy Finance Minister Tarkishore Prasad will put his first budget on the Table of the House as Finance Minister. The size of this budget for the financial year 2021-22 is likely to be more than about Rs 2,15,000 crore. Which is more than Rs 2 lakh 11 thousand 761 crore in the last financial year 2020-21.
While the budget will focus on health services with measures to overcome the effects of the corona epidemic, quality education will also be the main point. On Sunday, the process of finalizing the preparations for the budget continued. In the last year’s budget, there was 105995 crore in non-plan head and 107766 crore in plan head. This time there is a possibility of increase of non-plan items. At the same time, the vision of healthy Bihar will be seen in the center of the budget. A provision will be made in the budget to make PMCH a world famous hospital.
Education is expected to be the largest component, with the government’s focus on quality education. Apart from this, special attention is expected to be given to rural development in the budget. The villages of Bihar will shine. Along with rural connectivity, the government’s resolve to provide water to every farm under water-life-greenery will be seen in the budget.
