Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh has demanded the central government to start corona vaccination of youth too. He said that the new strain of corona virus from the UK is affecting the youth more. CM’s media advisor Raveen Thukral said that Captain Amarinder Singh has expressed concern that 81 per cent of the cases are from new strains. In fact, 81% of the 401 samples examined by Punjab have come from new strains coming from Britain. Due to this, he has appealed to PM Narendra Modi that people below 60 years should also be started vaccinating.
Currently, corona vaccination is taking place across the country for people over 60 years of age. Apart from this, vaccinations are also being given to those who are suffering from some serious disease. Capt Amarinder Singh said that we need to speed up the process of vaccination. Along with this, he cited the exerts and said that the Kovishield vaccine made in India is also effective on UK strains.
He said that rapid vaccination needs to be done to prevent transmission of the corona. Along with this, he has appealed to the public to strictly follow the Corona Protocol and wear masks. Apart from this, follow the rules of social distancing as well. Let us know that a night curfew has been imposed in 12 districts of Punjab as a precautionary measure. Apart from this, the movement of vehicles has been banned from 11 to 12 o’clock in the day.
