IND Vs ENG 3rd Test Match Playing 11: The third match of the four-Test series between Team India and England is to be played from today at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. This is the only day night test of this series and it will use pink ball. Looking at the pink ball, fast bowlers will be given priority in both teams instead of spin. Star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah is set to return to Team India, while England will also field their most experienced fast bowler James Anderson.
Compared to the previous Test, there can be two changes in Team India. Both changes will be in the bowling department. Jaspreet Bumrah will return to Playing 11 in place of Kuldeep Yadav. Umesh Yadav has been given a place in the team for the last two tests after passing the fitness test. Umesh has experience of playing two pink ball tests so he will get a chance in the playing 11 in place of Mohammad Siraj.
Team India will not make any change in the batting order. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will have the responsibility of opening on their shoulders. Cheteshwar Pujara will play at number three, while Virat and Rahane will take over at number four and fifth. Rishabh Pant will play at number 6. Ashwin and Akshar Patel will also try to show off the bat with the ball.
Difficult in front of England
England made a brilliant debut in the series by winning the first Test by 228 runs. But in the second Test, England suffered a crushing defeat by 317 runs on the slow pitch of Chennai. The biggest problem for England is the inability of the openers and the number three batsman to score runs. England will feature Crawley in the third Test in place of Rory Burns. Veteran batsman Johnny Bairstow will replace Lawrence and he will play at number three.
England will also have to make changes in the spin department because of Moin Ali’s return to England. England, however, can take the field with only one spinner in the third Test. Jofra Archer is set to return to Playing 11 for the third Test in England’s team. Archer will replace Ollie Stone. James Anderson will be a part of Playing 11 in place of Stuart Broad. Apart from this, either Chris Woakes or Mark Wood can be included in the team as the third fast bowler.
