A quarter of the world’s population may suffer from deafness after 30 years from today. The World Health Organization, fearing that this will happen by 2050, has said that we need to be careful about it. WHO says that in such a situation we should invest more on treatment and awareness. A report released by the World Health Organization for the first time in this regard stated that such a situation can occur due to infection, diseases, congenital problems, noise pollution and lifestyle defects. Suggesting some important measures in this report, it has been said that it will cost $ 1.33 per person per year.

The World Health Organization said that due to this crisis, the world is spending trillions of dollars every year. The reason for this is that necessary measures were not taken to deal with it. The report said that by not focusing on it, there is a big loss of health. Apart from this, it is also going to cause harm in the communication, education and employment sectors. Currently, 20 percent of the people all over the world are affected by hearing loss. The report said that the number of people with hearing impairment could increase by 1.5 times in the coming three decades. The figure was 1.6 billion in 2019, which may increase to 2.5 billion in 2050.

The report said that out of 2.5 billion people, there may be 700 million people who will suffer from severe hearing problems. This hearing impairment problem can be caused by demographic and population trends. Apart from this, problems are also increasing due to not having access to everyone’s treatment. Especially in low income countries, problems are increasing due to lack of necessary facilities for care and due to lack of financial support for treatment. Not only this, there is also a lack of right professionals for treatment. Thus 80 percent of people with low hearing ability are present only in low income countries.
