IT industry veteran Azim Premji said that more than 90 percent of the people in the technology industry of the country are still working from home and appreciated this mixed model of work.
She said in a program that this mixed model would have wide comparative benefits and it would give inclusive growth, better participation from all parts of the country and flexibility for women to work from home. He said that in the first few weeks of the lockdown implemented due to Kovid-19, 90 percent of the technology industry had started working from home and even today more than 90 percent of the people are working from home. Premji said that the government and the IT industry have permanently accepted the benefits of a mixed model, where people will work from both office and home, even after the epidemic. He said, today technology is becoming a lifeline for us. He appealed to people to be involved in some philanthropy work and said that philanthropy has always been a part of India’s culture and tradition.
