E-retailing company Amazon said on Tuesday that it will start manufacturing its other devices, including Fire TV Stick, in Chennai later this year in partnership with Cloud Network Technology, a subsidiary of Foxconn. “This will be Amazon’s first manufacturing plant in India, reiterating our commitment to the government’s vision of Make in India to create a self-reliant India,” the company said in a blogpost.

Amazon said, “The device manufacturing program will be able to produce millions of Fire TV stick devices every year, meeting customer demands in India.” However, the company did not provide details of the project’s potential or investment.
