The 70s and 80s heroes and Raj Kapoor’s elder son Randhir Kapoor are also under the grip of corona infection and are currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in Mumbai.
ABP News has received information from a reliable source that Randhir Kapoor was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai where he underwent all kinds of tests due to lack of health on Wednesday evening. In such a situation, his corona test was also done.
The source further said that this morning Randhir Kapoor’s corona test came positive and the team of doctors was engaged in his care. ABP News has also come to know that Randhir Kapoor is also suffering from severe type of diabetes and other diseases, in such a situation, Randhir, who is admitted in the VIP ward, is being specially looked after by the doctors.
An official statement issued by Dr. Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director of the hospital said, “Veteran actor Mr. Randhir Kapoor has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Astal last night for treatment of Kovid-19. His condition Is stable.
It is noteworthy that Randhir Kapoor’s middle brother Rishi Kapoor died on 30 April last year due to cancer in a hospital in Mumbai. His youngest brother Rajiv Kapoor died on February 9 this year due to a heart attack at his house in Chembur.
Randhir worked as a child artist in the film ‘Shree 420’ (1955) in the 50s. Later in 1971, Randhir Kapoor made his debut as a hero in the film ‘Kal Aaj Kal’. It was also the first film as a director of Randhir Kapoor, who worked with his father Raj Kapoor, his grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor in ‘Kal Aaj Kal’.
