- Just before this election, the BJP’s masterstroke was to hand over the keys of the new fleet to the poor slum dwellers. BJP has also exploited the corruption of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in the state. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party has made Delhi’s garbage problem a major issue. Challenging Modi’s ‘double engine’, AAP also coined the slogan ‘Kejriwal’s Corporator’.
- The effect of the Himachal Pradesh, and Gujarat assembly elections also fell on the Delhi assembly elections. While campaigning in Gujarat, AAP leaders have cited the example of Delhi’s development. Similarly, the BJP did not hesitate to attack the Delhi ruling party from outside the state.
- Recently the three Purnigams of Delhi were also merged. Even with this re-establishment, the quarrel started between BJP and AAP. On the one hand, BJP’s argument is that the three Purnigams have been merged for the smooth running of the work, while AAP claims that the BJP has merged the three Purnigams due to the fear of losing the Purnigam.
