9 people have died in a fire at a Covid-19 hospital in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. The fire broke out around 12 pm on Thursday at the Covid Hospital in the Sunrise Mall located in Bhandup area of Mumbai. Initially there were reports of two deaths in this incident, but now the figure has risen to 9. Even now the fire brigade is trying to control the fire. Here 76 corona infected patients were admitted for treatment. They were shifted in a hurry when the fire broke out.

Actually, the hospital was running on the third floor of the mall. Meanwhile BJP says that NOC was not taken to run Covid-19 hospital here. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prashant Kadam, around 22 fire tenders reached the hospital to extinguish the flames. There were 76 corona infected in this hospital, which is located on the third floor of a mall.
Speaking about today’s incident, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that this is the first time I have seen a hospital in a mall. This is a very serious situation. Seven patients were on ventilators. 70 patients have been taken to another hospital. There will be an investigation to find out the cause of the fire.
