On Saturday, the number of infected Covid-19s after 22 days in the country increased to 1,09,77,387, while 1,06,78,048 people have been cured. According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, 13,993 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours and 101 more people died due to infection.
The country has received around 14,000 cases of corona virus infection after about 22 days . Earlier, on January 29, there were 18,855 cases. With the recovery of 1,06,78,048 people from the infection so far, the national rate of recovery has been 97.27 percent and the death rate is 1.42 percent. The number of under-treated patients is below 1.5 lakh.
According to the ministry data, there are 1,43,127 under-treated patients in the country, which is 1.27 percent of the total cases. On August 7 last year, the number of infected people in the country was 20 lakh, on 23 August 30 million and on 5 September more than 40 lakh.
At the same time, total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November and one crore on 19 December.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 21,02,61,480 samples of Covid-19 have been tested in the country till 19 February. Of these, 7,86,618 samples were tested on Friday.
101 more people died of infection in the country. These included 44 cases from Maharashtra, 15 from Kerala and eight from Punjab. So far 1,56,212 people have died due to infection in the country. These include 51,713 in Maharashtra, 12,451 in Tamil Nadu, 12,287 in Karnataka, 10,897 in Delhi, 10,242 in West Bengal, 8,712 in Uttar Pradesh and 7167 in Andhra Pradesh.
The Ministry of Health stated that more than 70 percent of those who died were suffering from other diseases. The ministry said on its website that its data is being matched with ICMR data.
